1 ½ c. graham cracker crumbs
1 T. sugar
¼ c. butter or margarine
1 pkg. unflavored gelatin
¼ c. cold water
¼ c. milk
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
½ c. powdered sugar
2 pkg. whipped topping mix (Dream Whip)
1 - 1 lb. 5 oz. can cherry pie filling

Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press in an 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 9 inch pan. Soften geletin in cold water. Heat milk, stir in geletin and heat until geletin melts. Set aside to cool. Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Add geletin mixture and beat until well blended. Mix whipped topping according to directions on package and fold into the cream cheese mixture.. Spread over graham cracker crust. Spread pie filling on top and refrigerate until set; about two hours. Cut into squares and serve. You can embellish with a dollop of whipped cream.

This is a festive holiday dessert. You could use other prepared pie fillings, but we like cherry the best. If you double the recipe it fits in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
