½ pound ground beef
½ pound ground pork
1 medium onion finely chopped
⅛ tsp. pepper
⅛ tsp. salt
⅛ tsp. allspice
⅛ tsp. cinnamon
⅛ tsp. ground clove
⅛ tsp. sage
¼ tsp. poultry seasoning, like Bell's
2 slices of stale bread shredded or 4 potatoes cooked and mashed
1 recipe pie dough

Directions:
Directions:
In large sauté pan, brown beef and pork. Drain any excess fat. Add onion and spices. Sauté until onions are tender. Add bread or potatoes and simmer uncovered 15-20 minutes more. Let cool to room temperature.

Preheat oven to 375º. Roll out pie dough for 9" pie plate. Fill with Tourtiere filling. Add top crust. Bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden. Serve with side salad.
