1 lbs beef or pork neck bones, spare ribs, chuck roast or any cheap cut beef, cut into serving pieces
1 medium onions
2-3 tomatoes (preferably over ripened)
1 handful string beans
1 medium potato
1/2 inch cube ginger, optional
1-2 radishes (Daikon), eggplants and/or Okra
1 head cabbage or romaine lettuce
1/2 pocket sinigang broth/tamarind mix (available in any Oriental stores)
Water
Salt
Patis

Directions:
Directions:
Cut all vegetables into serving pieces.

In a large pot, add water until 2/3 full. Boil water with onion and tomatoes. Once boiling add the meat. Let it simmer until meat is tender. Stir in tamarind/sinigang broth. Season with salt & patis to taste. Add the remaining vegetables. Simmer for approximately 1/2 hour. If needed, add water to make more soupy and bring to boil.
