* 2 cups flour
* 1 cup brown sugar
* 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp butter, softened
* 1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl combine flour, brown sugar and butter and beat at medium speed 3 minutes. Mixture will be somewhat crumbly. Pat into the bottom of a greased 9x13inch baking pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly on top of uncooked crust. Set aside while making caramel layer.
 

Caramel Topping

* 3/4 cup butter, softened
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan, combine butter and brown sugar and bring to a boil. Cook until the entire surface boils and boil for one minute. Remove from heat. Pour caramel over the crust and pecans in the 9x13inch pan. Bake at 350* for 18 to 22 minutes or until the bars are bubbly and the crust is a light golden brown. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top of bars.
Cool completely and cut into 3 dozen bars to serve.
