3 pounds London Broil beef, beef tenderloin or top round) sliced thinly
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup soy sauce
1 large onion, peeled and sliced into rings (reserve 5 to 6 rings for garnish)
¼ teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup water
¼ cup brown sugar
salt to taste

Directions:

1). In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, and pepper. Add the beef. Massage marinade into meat and marinate for about 1 hour.
2). Remove meat, from marinade, squeezing and reserving excess liquid.
3). In a pan over high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil. Add beef and cook until the sauce evaporates or until browned. Remove.
4). In the same pan, pour the marinade juice and let it boil for about 3 minutes. Pour to the meat.
5). In the separate pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Add onions and cook, stirring regularly, until limp and aromatic. Put it on top of the beef.
Serve hot.
