Banana Bread Recipe

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
4 small bananas, mashed
3/4 cup milk
1 cup walnuts, chopped
3 eggs
3/4 cup Crisco© shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream shortening and sugar about 1 minute. Add eggs, one at a time, beating for about 1 minute after each addition, for a total of about 4 minutes.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Alternate adding flour and milk to the shortening mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Beat thoroughly to combine.
Mash the bananas and add the lemon juice. Fold bananas into the mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts, stir gently to combine.
Pour into 2 loaf pans and bake for about 50 minutes or until done.
Cool in pan ~10 minutes then finish cooling on wire racks.
Store wrapped in saran wrap.
