1½ cups white sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 can crushed pineapple (with the juice)
½ cup brown sugar

Directions:
Mix all ingredients except the brown sugar. Pour into a 9" x 13" pan. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes. Pour icing over warm cake.
 

Icing for Granny Cake

½ cup white sugar
½ can Carnation milk
¼ lb margarine
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a pot and boil for about 10 minutes (until it thickens a bit but will still run all over cake). Pour over warm cake.
