1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
⅓ cup Crisco
½ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into flour and salt and sprinkle in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, tossing with fork. Form pastry into a ball, knead a few times, and roll on lightly floured sheet of wax paper.

Place in 9” buttered pie plate and prick bottom and side thoroughly with fork. Crimp the edge.

Bake until brown, 8 to 10 minutes at 450º. Cool.

Note:
For a two-crust pie, double the above recipe.
Do not butter or prick the bottom crust. Slit the top crust.
