Bread Pudding

2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
8 slices bread
1/2 c. sugar
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 t. salt
1 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. seedless raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk with butter. Tear bread into small pieces and place in a 1 1/2 qt. casserole. Combine milk with sugar, eggs, salt and spices. Add raisins. Pour milk mixture over bread and stir to mix. Bake at 350 for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted into pudding comes out clean. Serve with warm whiskey sauce.
 

Whiskey Sauce


Ingredients:

1/2 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
1/3 c. bourbon
1 1/4 c. water
pinchof salt
1/4 c. butter
1 pkg pecan chips

Directions:
Directions:
Toast pecan chips; set aside. Combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in bourbon, water and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick and clear. Remove from heat. Add butter and pecan chips. Serve warm over the bread pudding.
