6 large apples
3 Tbls. butter
1 cup brown sugar, divided
3 Tbls. half n half
1 Tbls. corn starch
¾ cup flour
¼ cup sugar
⅓ cup butter, softened
1 deep dish pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Peel apples, slice into wedges. Melt 3 Tbls. butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add apple slices and saute 5-7 minutes until apples begin to soften. Add ¾ cup brown sugar and continue cooking until sugar dissolves. Combine half n half and cornstarch, add to skillet. Cook, tossing apples gently until even coated and slightly thickened. Combine flour, remaining ¼ cup brown sugar, sugar, and butter in a bowl until mixture is crumbly. Spread apples into crust, sprinkle crumb topping evenly over apples. Bake 45-50 minutes, covering the top and edge of crust after 30 minutes with foil. Allow to cool 1 hour before serving.
