12 eggs
12 tbsp. sugar
12 tbsp. flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
8 egg yolks
3 whole eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
3-4 tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. unsalted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC).

Cake:
Beat egg yolks with sugar until light. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold egg mixture into the whites. Bake 1 cup of mixture on bottom of greased layer cake pans. Makes about 10 - 12 layers. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool.

Filling:
Beat yolks, eggs, and sugar until thick. Put in large double boiler and cook until hot and thick (approximately 3 hours); let cool. Meanwhile, mix cocoa and butter. Combine with rest of filling. Put between layers, and on top and sides of cake.
