2 quarts water (for powdered milk - scald)
1 1/2 cup water (to soak yeast)
3 tbsp salt
5 tbsp sugar
1 cup shortening
18-19 cups flour
3 packages yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Soak yeast with 3 tsp of the sugar.
Scald milk then add shortening and let cool.
Add salt, sugar and yeast then flour.
Leave to rise for 2 hours then knead.
Leave to rise another hour then knead.
Leave to rise a last hour then knead.
Put in pans. Let rise another hour then bake.
