3-1/2 c. chicken broth
2-3 large carrots, scraped & diced
4 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
1 medium-small onion, diced
2 small heads broccoli, washed & diced

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
3-1/2 c. milk
4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic pepper

Cooked, crumbled bacon for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, combine broth, carrots, potatoes & onion. Bring to a boil, cover & simmer for about 10 minutes.

While simmering, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Whick in the flour & cook for another minute. Whisk in milk & cook for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add cheese & stir until it is all melted. Add salt & garlic pepper.

Pour cheese sauce into the large pot & stir until well combined.

Garnish individual bowls with the bacon pieces.
