½ cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2½ cups sifted flour
Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, salt, and vanilla.
Add sugar, then beaten eggs, and beat together. Add flour and mix well. Chill thoroughly, roll on slightly floured board until ¼ inch thick. Dip butter in flour each time before cutting cookie.
