2 cups flour
2¾ tsp baking powder
4 eggs½
1¼ cup brown sugar
¼. Lb margarine
¼ cup shortening. Melted together4
½ cup molasses, plus ½ tsp soda mix together
¼ tsp ginger.,.
½tsp cinnamon,. ¼ tsp cloves,. ¼.tsp allspice,. ½ tsp vanilla
4 oz. each red and green cherries glazed
½ cup strong coffee
4 oz mixed peels,. 4oz lemon peels,
½ can crushed pineapple. 14 or 19 oz
1 lb raisins
½. lb currants. ½ lb dates.
2 oz almonds. 2 oz. hazel nuts. 4oz. walnuts
½ glass wine



Directions:

Mix all together
Oil pans and sprinkle with flour
Soak fruit and nuts with wine overnight
Bake at 325º for 2 to 3 hours small pan 1½hours/large pan 2 ½hours
