1 head of cabbage
1/2 tsp fennel seed
2 - 3 cloves
2 allspice berries
grated nutmeg
1 tbsp water
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
1) combine all of the spices into a medium size sauce pan and toast until fragrant

2) add cabbage and stir to combine with spices

3) add salt and water and cover, allowing to steam for about 5 minutes

4) uncover and add vinegar, stir to combine, cover for an additional 10 minutes

5) uncover and allow liquid to cook down - about 5 to 10 more minutes

This recipe is super quick and easy. I like to make it on Easter when the first cabbage crop rolls around (even better if its my own).
