1 lb. Shrimps or Prawns
2 tbsp. ghee or butter
1 can of Coconut Milk ( I use Aroy D)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 onion chopped
2 tbsp. garlic and ginger paste
1 tsp. green chili paste
½ tsp. paprika
1 - 2 whole chilies (optional)
¼ tsp. fresh chopped Methi or Kasuri methi (optional)
1 small tomato chopped
½ tsp. of turmeric
½ tsp. of cumin and coriander
½ tsp. salt
¼ bunch of cilantro chopped
¼ tsp. of garam masala

1 Marinate shrimps or prawns in lemon juice, 1 tbsp. of ginger and garlic paste, ½ tsp. chili paste, pinch of salt and keep aside for at 15 - 30 minutes.
2. In a saucepan, add butter or ghee and fry ginger & garlic paste, green chili paste, and onions until they are light golden brown.
3 Add turmeric, coriander and cumin powder, paprika and chopped tomato . Add methi and cook until the tomato is soft.
4. Add 1 tbsp. of lemon juice, whole green chili and a pinch of salt.
4. Rinse the shrimps and add to the mixture. Cook until they turn pink.
5 Add the coconut milk and lower the heat. .
6. Sprinkle cilantro and garam masala .Cover and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes

This dish can be served with white rice or Naan.
