18 small white onions, peeled
4 Tbsp. butter
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. or more sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the butter in a heavy skillet and add onions and saute over brisk heat, rolling the pan so onions begin to brown on all sides. Sprinkle with salt and sugar and roll around well so that sugar will caramelize the onions and give them a pleasant glaze. Cover pan and steam the onions until just tender but not mushy.

Makes 6-8 servings.
