Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. milk

Sift together:
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
4 tsp. baking powder

Cream together:
1 c. lard (butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the 1 1/2 c. milk. You might need to add a bit more flour to make a workable dough - med. stiff. Roll into long ropes and cut coin-sized pieces, about 1/2 inch in thickness. Bake in 350 F. oven till golden. Remove from oven and cool. These cookies should be quite crunchy.
