1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. ground turkey
1 c. onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 jalapeņo, seeded and minced
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 c. chicken or vegetable broth
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 can diced tomatoes with juice
1 can chick peas, drained and rinsed
1 can fava beans, drained and rinsed
1 tsp. oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 chopped fresh cilantro
Cheese, shredded
Sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Put the oil in a large saucepan; add the turkey meat and brown over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, jalapeņo, chili powder, and cumin; cook for five minutes. Add the broth and sweet potatoes. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, beans, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer until potatoes are fork-tender. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in cilantro. Serve topped with shredded cheese and sour cream.
