2 large heads of lettuce
4 apples
2 lbs. plums
4 Tbsp. chopped nuts
lemon juice
6 Tbsp. boiled diced celery
1 cup mayonnaise
6 Tbsp. cream

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and drain lettuce.

Peel core and dice apples. Sprinkle a little lemon juice over apples to keep color. Pour boiling water over plums, peel, cut in two, remove stones, and dice. Stir in mayonnaise and cream. Mix gently to combine all ingredients.

Break lettuce into serving pieces in salad bowl. Pile other ingredients in center and chill.

Makes 8-10 servings.
