Meat Loaf Base:
1½ lb. ground round
1 lb. ground turkey
2 large onions, finely chopped
½ c. chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 c. fresh bread crumbs
1½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
2 eggs

Italian Meat Loaf:
⅔ meat loaf base
⅓ c. bottled marinara sauce
¼ c. grated Parmesan cheese
¾ tsp. leaf basil, crumbled
¼ tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled

German Meat Loaf:
⅓ meat loaf base
¼ c. plain yogurt
½ tsp. leaf thyme, crumbled
¼ tsp. leaf marjoram, crumbled
pinch of ground ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare base: Combine beef, turkey, onion, parsley, garlic, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and eggs in large bowl. Italian meat loaf: Mix ⅔ base with marinara sauce, Parmesan, basil and oregano in large bowl; mix thoroughly. Press into 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 375º for 1 hour. Let stand in pan for 10 minutes. Pour off drippings; remove from pan. German meat loaf: Mix ⅓ base with yogurt, thyme, marjoram and ginger in large bowl; mix thoroughly. Shape mixture into loaf. Place in shallow baking pan. Bake at 375º for 50 minutes. Remove loaf from pan to a plate.
