2/3 cup butter
1/3 cup butter
2 egg yolks (reserve egg whites for later)
1 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 cups flour

About 1 cup chopped nuts

Fruit (cherry, grape, or raspberry) jelly for center filling.
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy;
Add egg yolkd, vanilla and salt and beat well.
Gradually add flour.
Beat egg whites slightly.

Shape dough into 3/4 -1" balls. Roll dough balls in beaten egg whites, then into nuts.
Place on cookie sheet; make a dent in center of dough ball.

Bake in 350º oven for 15 - 17 minutes.
May be necessary to deepen indentation during baking or immediately when removed from oven.

Fill with jelly when cool.
