3 lb ground beef
1 lb ground sausage
1 large onion, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
4 Tbsp cumin
4 Tbsp chili powder
1 #10 crushed tomatoes
1 #10 can Brook's Hot Chili Beans
5 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 46 oz can tomato juice

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef and ground sausage together. Add onions and celery. Cook an additional 5 minutes. Add cumin and chili powder. Mix together. Add crushed tomatoes, chili beans, diced tomatoes with chilies, and tomato juice. Allow to simmer 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve hot with diced onion and grated cheese.

This is the recipe I use for the VFW. This makes a rather large batch so make sure you have freezer room or lots of company. This is actually better the next day, so I try to at least make it the day before I serve it.
