4 cups sugar
3 tablespoons white Corn Syrup
½ cup milk
2/3 cups butter in squares
Flavoring

1. Heat cream and milk and then added sugar
2. Stir until dissolved
3. Turn heat to high and cook to soft ball stage (225)
4. When cool beat until loses gloss and becomes thick
5. Mold 2/3 squares of butter in hands
6. Add any flavor while beating
Flavors: 2-3 drops mint oil
Lemon – ½ teaspoon lemon flavor and grated lemon peel
Maple Nut – ½ teaspoon maple flavor and nuts
Coconut – add shredded coconut and vanilla

Chocolates are a huge Furner favorite for Christmas. I remember making chocolates with grandma upstairs in the White House on Parrish lane. It was a cool ro she kept all her canning and we would put two chairs in their and pour hot bakers chocolate on a marble slab. We would cover all chocolates. It was so much fun.
