1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 to 4 cinnamon sticks
Few drops red food coloring
4 oz. cream cheese to 2 oz. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Peel and Core 10 – 15 apples (best ones to use are yellow delicious or Jonathan (you need a harder apple that will not fall apart when cooked)
2. Bring sugar and water to a boil
3. Add the cinnamon sticks
4. Add the food coloring
5. Cook until apples are red and softened
6. Separately mix the cream cheese and walnuts
7. When apples are cool, fill the center with cream cheese
