½ cup Sugar
½ tsp Salt
3 tbsp Cornstarch
2 ½ cups Milk
3 Eggs, seperated
1 tsp Vanilla
¼ cup Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in saucepan.
Stir in milk and cook over med-low heat until slightly thickened
Combine a little of the hot mixture with beaten egg yolks and return to
the hot mixture and cook until thickened (about 2 mins.)
Stir in the vanilla and butter and pour into a baked pie shell.
Once cooled top with meringue made by beating egg whites
with ¼ cup Sugar until stiff enough to hold in peaks
Brown in oven at 425º about 5 mins.
