24 pitted prunes
2/3 cup Port
Stilton cheese crumbled
2 Tbs Mascarpone cheese
Walnut halfs

Directions:
Directions:
Place the 24 pitted prunes in a saucepan just large enough to hold them in a single layer
Add the port
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes
Remove from the heat, cover, and let stand 1 hour

In a small bowl mash together 2½ oz crumbled Stilton cheese with the mascarpone cheese
Cover and refrigerate

Toast the walnut halves by placing on a baking sheet and warming up

When ready to plate, place the warmish prunes with hollow side up on a serving platter. Put a small amount of cheese mixture in the hollow. Top with a walnut half. Drizzle some of port wine sauce over the appetizers
