Nut Horns (Nut Mix)


Ingredients:

4 c flour
4 sticks butter, softened
1½ c sour cream or full fat Greek yogurt
3 egg yolks, beaten (save egg whites for nut mixture)

Directions:

Cream butter until light and fluffy
Add egg yolks and continue mixing until combined
Add sour cream/yogurt and beat until combined
Fold in flour until just combined

Divide into 6 balls, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight

Roll out ball on powdered sugar into a large circle
Spread nut mixture on dough circle
Cut dough circle into 16 even pieces (like a pizza)
Roll from outside in like crescent rolls
Bake at 350º F for 20 minutes
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top when out of oven½

Fold in sugar and nuts
Apply to nut horn dough
