Pre-heat oven to 325º

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1½ tsp. vanilla
5 eggs
1 can (16 ounce) cut yams, drained and chopped
3 cups self-rising flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raisins
½ cup Karo light syrup
1 8 ounce can crushed pineapples, well drained
1-15 ounce can Ready to Spread Coconut Pecan frosting

Grease and flour a 10 inch tube cake pan. In a large bowl cream butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; beating well after each addition. Add yams; beat until well mixed. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Stir in pecans, raisins, corn syrup and pineapple. Spoon batter into prepared pan; spread evenly

Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool upright In pan 10 minutes. Invert onto rack; cool completely. In small sauce pan, heat frosting until pourable. Spoon over cake allowing some to drizzle down sides.
