1 quart of sauerkraut
¼ C sliced onions
2 T butter
2 medium sized apples
1 C white wine
½ C beef stock or bouillon
1 tsp celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Drain kraut slightly. Cook onion in butter. Add sauerkraut. Stir.
Wash, peel and core apples. Dice fruit and add to sauerkraut.
Add wine and enough bouillon to cover.
Cook uncovered for 30 minutes.
Add celery seed. Cover and finish cooking in moderate oven (325º for 30 minutes longer)

Serve as a side dish with pork, sausage.
