Personal Notes:
I first had this at the Shoreline Restaurant in Gills Rock, Door County, Wisconsin with Jerry and Cathie Rynerson. I loved it so much I had to ask for the recipe. They said no. Then one day I went and knew the waitress and asked her and was able to get it IF I would come back on a weekday when it wasn't so busy. So I called my friend Joyce Appel and asked she wanted to take a half day of vacation with me and do a road trip for dessert and the chance to write the recipe down. It was a fun fall afternoon and now we have the recipe in our family which is one of Brynn's favorites!
