1 cup butter
2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla
6 quarts (or more) air-popped popcorn

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 2 quart saucepan. Stir in brown sugar,, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil; stirring constantly. Boil WITHOUT stirring, 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn; mixing well.
Turn into large shallow baking pan. Bake in 250º oven ONE HOUR ; stirring every 15 minutes.
Dry roasted unsalted peanuts may be added.
Break apart. Store in tightly covered containers.
