2 sticks butter, softened
2 3/4 cups sugar, divided
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups sour cream
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a large bowl, cream butter with 2 cups sugar, until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each one. Add vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients and sour cream alternately to the butter mixture.

In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, pecans and remaining sugar.
Spoon a third of the batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan and top with a third of the nut mixture. Repeat layers. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
