Bread:
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup warm milk
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 cups flour
2 Tbsp yeast
1 egg white, beaten

Chowder:
1 lg onion, chopped
3 celery, chopped
6 Tbsp butter
3 1/2 cups frozen mixed veggies
6 Tbsp flour
4 1/2 cups milk
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tsp chicken boullion
3/4 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Bread:
Mix first 7 ingred, knead well. Divide into 6 portions. Shape into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Cover with a towel and plastic bag, place in a warm spot, let rise until double in size. Brush with egg whites. Bake @ 375º for 20- 25 min. Cool. Cut top 1/4 off. Carefully hollow out.

Chowder:
Saute onion & celery in butter. Add veggies. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in milk. Cook 2 min. Stir in rest of the ingred. Put into bread bowls.
