2 tsp baking soda w/3 Tbsp buttermilk
2 cups applesauce
2 cups raisins
2 cups chopped nuts
3-1/2 cups flour (reserve 1/2 cup flour to mix with the nuts and raisins)
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves

Mix together. Bake 2 hours at 275ºF. Bake in bundt or angel food pan.

For Fruit Cake:
Add lots of candied fruit, cherries & pineapple & more nuts. (omit orange & lemon peel)
