1 pound lean ground beef...
1 can, 15 oz. tomato sauce...
1can, 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes with garlic and onions...
3 cups beef broth...
2 cups cooked rice...
1 yellow onion, finely chopped...
1 green pepper, seeds removed, chopped...
1 red pepper, seeds removed, chopped...
1/2 t dried oregano...
1/2 t dried basil...
1 bay leaf...
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper...

Brown beef in large skillet over medium- high heat, drain and save 2 T of fat and set aside...
Wipe out skillet, return pan to medium-high heat, add the 2 T of fat, add the chopped onion, saute until translucent. Season with salt and pepper...
Place the cooked beef and onion in crock pot....
Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, rice and bell peppers...
Season with oregano, basil and add bay leaf...
Cover crock pot and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours...
Taste, adjust seasonings, and serve...
