12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup water
3 Tablespoons fresh lime juice plus 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
1/4 cup finely chopped, seeded fresh jalapenos (2 medium)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons tequila (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cranberries, sugar, water, lime juice, lime zest, jalapenos and salt in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until berries start to pop, about 5 minutes. Press berries against side of pan with a wooden spoon and continue to cook until berries have broken down and sauce thickens to a jam-like consistency, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in tequila and let cool for 30 minutes. Adjust consistency with water as needed. Serve immediately or place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
