Directions:
Cream butter, eggs, chocolate, sugar and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients and add 1 cup nuts. Spread in large, greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Cool and frost.

Ice cream Frosting:
Heat pet milk to almost boiling. Beat the egg white and add the hot milk, then add the other ingredients. Beat until thick and creamy. Add green food coloring. Frost and refrigerate until firm. Melt 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate and spread over frosting just so it's covered or swirled. Note: If frosting doesn't thicken, add a little more Crisco.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I got this recipe from a Pillsbury winner recipe book and the frosting from a friend who baked a cake and brought it over one night when we played cards. I thought the frosting was great so I used it for the brownies. The kids called it the ice cream frosting and so it got its name. Some of the kids in the family called them the Communion brownies because I was always asked to bake them for parties.
*Also a reunion favorite.
