4 or 5 apples
5 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/3 cup orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Slice peeled apples thinly. Mix with cinnamon and 5 Tbsp sugar. Set aside.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and 2 cups of sugar.
Mix the oil, eggs, orange juice and vanilla together. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix together well to make a batter.
Pour half the batter into a greased and floured tube pan, cover with 2/3 of the apple mixture and pour remaining batter over apples. Top batter with remaining apple mixture.

Bake at 350 degree for 1 hour or more, until done. Continue to test for doneness. Sometimes this cake take 1 1/2 hours..
