2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup Crisco shortening
3/4 cup orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup dried cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together; flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles corn meal.
Combine orange juice, orange rind and 1 beaten egg and pour into the sifted dry ingredients. Stir just enough to combine ingredients. Fold in chopped nuts and cranberries. Pour into greased and floured bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until done.
