Directions:
Cook beef and drain off fat. Add onions, cabbage, pepper and salt. Allow filling to slowly cook until cabbage and onions have softened, stirring occasionally. Put cooked filling in a colander to drain off excess liquid. Let bread dough thaw until doubled. Roll out dough and cut into 6" squares (approximately). Squeeze filling first to get rid of moisture and place some in the center of the square and pinch edges of dough together to seal. Place filled baruk on a cookie sheet lined with parchment sprayed with pam. Cover and allow to rise for 20 minutes. Flip baruk over so they are seam side down and bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. These can be frozen and reheated in the microwave or oven.
