½ c. margarine (oleo)
1⅓ c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. ripe bananas (about 3) mashed
1 tbsp. vinegar
½ cup milk
¾ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
½ c. walnuts
2 c. white flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Grease cake pan with Crisco shortening or spray.
Mix all ingredients well and pour into cake pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool.
 

Frosting


Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
½ stick of margarine (oleo) melted
¾ c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Half and Half cream
½ c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare icing by melting butter in a pan on stove top and combining all other frosting ingredients.
Pour over cooled cake and place under the broiler until bubbly.
Be sure to watch this as it bubbles quite quickly and broiler temperatures vary.
Remove, let cool and serve.
