Dressing:

1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup cider or wine vinegar
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2-3 tsp poppy seeds

Salad Part:
10 Cups torn romaine
1 Cup shredded Swiss Cheese
1 Med apple, cored and cubed-leave peel on
1 med pear, cored and cubed-leave peel on
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 to 1 cup chopped cashews


Directions:
Directions:

In salad bowl, combine romaine, swiss cheese, apple, pear ,cranberries.
In a blender or food processor, combine sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, onion, and salt.
Cover and process until blended. With blender running, gradually (slowly) add oil. Add
poppy seeds until blended. Drizzle salad with desired amount of dressing. Add cashews;
toss to coat.
Serve Immediately.
