2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp cold butter, in 1/2" cubes
vegetable oil

Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Work in the cold butter, using a pastry blender. Stir in the warm water to make a soft dough. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into eight pieces. Working with one piece at a time, roll into a thin 5" round, about 3/8" thick.
Heat vegetable oil in pan or fryer to 375º. Pick up dough disk and carefully lower it into the pan. Let it cook for 60 seconds or until light brown, then flip it over and cook for another minute or until light brown. Remove from oil and set on a paper towel-lined baking sheet. Serve warm with topping of your choice.
