2 1/3 cups flour
1 2/3 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups mashed ripe bananas
2/3 cups shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup finely chopped nuts
Frosting:
1/3 cup peanut butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 to 1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13x9 pan or 2 round pans. Beat all ingredients except peanut butter frosting ingredients, on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high for 3 min. Pour into pans.
Bake rectangle pan 45 to 50 min., rounds 35-40 min.. Cool 10 min. completely.

Peanut Butter Frosting
Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar in large bowl. Stir in vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth.
