"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
½ stick (2 oz) butter (softened)
¼ c sugar
¾ c brown sugar
¼ c oil
1 large egg
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1½ c flour
¼ oatmeal
½ c white chocolate chips
½ c dried cranberries
optional: ½ to 1 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
1. Soften the butter at room temperature or microwave, make sure it’s just softened, not melted!
TIP: Melting the butter too much will affect the consistency of the cookie. Melted butter will result in a flat cookie!
2. Add butter, oil, sugar, bat until smooth.
3. Add egg, vanilla, salt and baking soda. Mix briefly
TIP: Make sure it’s real vanilla, not imitation!
4. Add flour, oats and mix.
5. Add white chocolate chips and cranberries. Mix.
6. Drop by ice crem scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 13 minutes. Makes 15 large cookies, can also cook on parchment paper.
