"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 Tbsps rice vinegar

Directions:
Soak the cedar planks for at least one hour - the longer the better
In a shallow dish or freezer bag, stir together the marinade ingredients. Add the salmon, turning to fully coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to one hour.
Preheat the barbecue to medium heat. Place the planks on the grate. They are ready when they start to smoke and crack a little.
Place the fillets on the planks and discard the marinade. Cover and grill for about 20 minutes.
Fish is done when you can flake it with a fork. It will continue to cook a bit after you remove from the grill.
