Fresh guavas(16-20) from your friends
1 TBS white sugar
1 TBS brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cut guavas into quarters and place in a small sauce pan.
Add sugars, cinnamon and vanilla. Let it cook over medium heat until it breaks down completely, may take a couple of hours. Turn of the burner and let cool for 15 minutes. Strain in cheesecloth to remove seeds. Bring back to the stove and continue to cook until you get the desired consistency, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Place in a small jar to reserve or in a small bowl for serving. Serve with crackers, bread and cheese.
