Pre-heat oven to 300º

½ pound butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs, separated
3 cups flour
⅛ tsp. baking soda
½ pint sour cream
1½ tsp. vanilla
¾ tsp. lemon extract


Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar for at least 10 minutes. Beat in egg yolks one at a time. Beat in flour and baking soda (which have been mixed together) alternating with sour cream. Stir in vanilla and lemon extract. fold in beaten egg whites. Pour mixture into a well greased and lightly floured tube or Bundt pan.

Bake in a 300º oven
1½ hours for tube pan
1 hour 45 minutes for Bundt pan.
